Hiking

Boulder (and most of Colorado) is all about the great outdoors. Thankfully, Boulder has some very easy and highly accessible hiking opportunities.

A reminder, while at elevation please drink more water than usual and be sure to bring ample water on your hike. If you plan to take a longer hike, consider bringing a water bladder day pack.

The Boulder Creek Path runs through downtown and up into the valley following Boulder Creek. The path is either paved or very well maintained gravel (basically dirt) trail. The views of the river and rock features are incredible.

Baseline Trail winds through open fields in Chautauqua and has the stunning backdrop of the Flatirons. This 1.4 mile loop is easy and beautiful.

Hike to a view of the 1st flatiron from Gregory Canyon Trailhead. This is a 2.6 mile hike with 1,300′ feet of elevation. There is some technical sections with rock scrambles, but incredible views make it worth the hike.

Red Rocks and Anemone Loop is a 4 mile, 1,000′ elevation gain hike. As with anything in the front range, the views are amazing.

Shopping

Pearl Street is lined with restaurants, shops and people watching. It is the heart and soul of Boulder — and has been for more than four decades!
