Dates of Travel
The ceremony and reception are on Wednesday 10/7. We would recommend arriving Tuesday 10/6 by mid-day. Boulder and the surrounding are are stunning. If you can take the time to enjoy the town we highly suggest it. Here is a list of day hikes, many very easy and some more difficult to check out.
Elevation Warning!
The majority of our guests are traveling from a much lower altitude. Boulder is located 5,430 feet above sea-level. Some people may struggle with this elevation change. Arriving early and allowing yourself time to acclimate may be a wise decision. If you do experience altitude sickness, canned oxygen is available at most convenience stores and grocery stores. In addition to altitude sickness, alcohol has a much stronger affect on you. Please drink slowly and pace yourself!
Airport
To get to Boulder, CO by plane, fly into Denver International Airport. From there it is a 45 minute to 1 hour drive.
Rental Cars
Denver International Airport has all major rental car facilities. There is a shuttle that takes you from the arrivals level to the rental car facility a few miles away.
Hotels
Depending on your schedule, you may wish to either stay by the Denver Airport, or in Boulder. If you plan to fly out early on Thursday 10/8, we would recommend staying near the airport as it is not a close drive and arriving early at DIA is always a good idea. That said, if you plan to party with us at the reception, please be prepared to drive the 45 minute trip in a safe and legal way.
Denver International Airport Hotels
Tower Road just off Peña Boulevard which is the main road into the airport is lined with hotels including Hyatt, Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy suites and many budget friendly options.
